I'm so happy you inquired about this. I have the same situation, where my ggrandfather had a child by another woman. I am certainly trying to find out about the child (my grandmother's half-brother) and any children he may have had. (Incident occurred in Henry County TN) Glad to know someone else has the same kind of situation. (smile) No one in my family would talk about it, either. I found the records quite by accident and when I asked my grandmother, well, she just said that some things were better off left alone, but I could tell she was angry that I found out. Oh, well.
