Partlow's WILSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, CHANCERY COURT RECORDS 1842-1892 has the following entry which may be of interest to you: David Jones of Cole County, Missouri against Polly Quarles, widow of James Quarles; Julius Williams, administrator of James Quarles; Gay Quarles, son of Milton Quarles deceased and was a brother of James Quarles. Gay Quarles is now a resident of Cannon County. Samuel O. Quarles of Iowa, brothr of James Quarles; D. W. Quarles, a half brother of James Quarles, of Virginia; Anthony J., William, and Mary Crenshaw, children of Sally Crenshaw deceased who was a half sister of James Quarles, residents of Virginia; John Quarles of Rutherford County, son of John Quarles who was a half brother of James Quarles. On 8 April 1837, David jones of Missouri purchased 160 acres in the 17th district from James Quarles. Mentions son Henry E.
