Hi, My MORRIS ancestors were from Smith/Wilson and Warren Counties. I have many names but the earliest ancestor is E. H. Morris in Smith Co. There is a deed in Smith which lists Elijah, John H. and William Morris as heirs to Thomas Morris. He could be the father or grandfather. The deed also lists an Eliza Birchett who is believed to be Elizabeth Morris Birchett who was married in Halifax Co. NC. There is also a Thomas Morris listed as living in that area.
