James, Sr died in the Mexican War in Jalapa,Mexico.Don't know where he is buried. Don't know if his body was brought back to Jefferson Co. I could find no cemetery records for him there. I will be visiting Aunt Lena in Pocola tomorrow (Thursday). I am taking her the Ward book I just finished. It has the Ward's/Bowman's/Green's/Taylor's/Dodd's/Coen's, etc. I only have the one copy but will be printing additional copies in the fall. Are you interested?There is some great stuff with really old photos from Aunt Lena and other family members. I could send you copies of some selected pages/families if you are interested. I do have my copy with me. Aunt Lena is getting up in years and I had promised her for two years that I would write something on the Ward's and I knew I could not wait any longer.
