My ggg-grandparent James & Delphia GRIFFIN were married about 1830, I believe in Tennessee. Today I found a listing for the marriage of Delphia HOWELL and James GRIFFIN for 15 Feb 1832 in Wilson County TN. It is believed that James Griffin was born in North Carolina in Feb. of 1811. His wife Delpia was born about 1809, possibly also in North Carolina. James Griffin died 19 Jun 1894 and Delphia died 8 Jun 1897. They are reportedly buried in the Griffin Cemetery, but when I visited the area last year I followed the directions from the Cemetery book and was unable to locate the cemetery. Some researchers have identified the wife of James Griffin a Delpha Warnell, while this may be the correct information, it conflicts with the oral family history.
