    2. If you live in Southern California, the Huntington Beach Library has a good genealogy department, and the Georgina Cole Library in Carlsbad has an excellent genealogy department. If you get a library card, you can park at the Los Angeles Library downtown for $1.00 an hour. There is a regional branch of the National Archives in Laguna Hills. This has all census records and Revolutionary War pension files. The LDS Center in Orange is the best one in the area. I've spent countless hours at these facilities and the staff at all are very knowledgable and helpful. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: [email protected] > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Seals in Tennessee > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UiB.2ACI/1332.1 > > Message Board Post: > > If you live in California, you MUST live near an LDS family history center, > unless you are in a tiny hamlet.
