I noted with interest the items about naming and particularly for doctors. My grandfather was named Hughes "Huse" Alexander Jones and his wife was Lucy Hughes Banister. I have been told they were both named for the same old doctor who delivered them, but I have found no record so far of a Dr. Hughes .. Perhaps Hughes was his first name? or was it Dr. Hughes ALEXANDER? Does anyone know of a Dr. Hughes or a Dr Hughes Unknown who lived in the Wilson/Davidson County area and delivering babies around 1894-1899 Thanks Vivian Eakes Hull
