Hello Betty, I believe this entry from Thomas E. Partlow's WILSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, CHANCERY COURT RECORDS 1842-1892 may give you some help, although the David Jackson in the entry has a middle name of Foster. Anyway, here it is: Bill of complaint of John Jackson and James Jackson, Thomas B. Stroud and William Brown against James Drennan, executor of Jessie Jackson. The complainants are two of the children of said Jessie Jackson. The balance, Manerva, the wife of Newton Underwood; Jane, the wife of Samuel A. Comer; Sarah E., the wife of Wiley Pafford of Rutherford County; Mary C., the wife of Thomas P. Richardson of Bedford County; Winfield C. Jackson of Kentucky; DAVID FOSTER JACKSON who died in Bedford County, leaving two children, to wit, THOMAS AND MINERVA who are minors; Benjamin Jackson of Davidson County; Elizabeth, the wife of John Martin; Jane who is a minor; Missouri Jane who married a Steeger of Kentucky; William Griffis of Davidson County who married Lucy Drew who died in 1862. Thomas Shelton testified that "I am 68 years of age and married a daughter of James Drennan and that James Drennan died the last of January 1867." He further stated that he moved in the James Drennan house in February 1868. (Chancery Book I, Pp. 144-195) Another entry may also be helpful. This one is of an earlier date. Bill of complaint of Lucy D. Griffin of Dickson County against James Drennan, administrator of Jessie Jackson of Wilson County and William Griffin of Dickson County. Lucy D. Griffin is a married woman through her next friend and brother, John B. Jackson, states that her father, Jessie Jackson, departed this life in Wilson County and left a widow, Nancy Jackson, and twelve children. Nancy Jackson departed this life in Wilson County. 8 February 1860 (Chancery Book H, Pp. 317-320) These are not my people. Just doing a lookup for you. There are other Jackson entries if you think they are yours. Looks like they were spread around several counties.
