For Delores Shearon. Just as an addition to all of Bob's information, I send the following from Thomas E. Partlow's WILSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, CHANCERY COURT RECORDS 1842-1892 - Bill of complaint of John C. Guild and Edy Sanderson against Emeline and husband, Louis Palmer, administrators of Eliza and Adeline Sanderson who are dead, the first dying in Sumner County and the second in Davidson County. Wade Sanderson in 1849 made his will which was admitted in Wilson County Probate Court where he lived and died. By the terms of the will, he bequeathed their freedom to his servants Edy, Emeline, Adeline, John, Eliza, and Austin Sanderson, and the father of John Sanderson. He likewise devised the tract of land in Wilson County to his said servants. He devised that his servants should be transported to Liberia. There was much controversy in regard to the estate. The original bill was filed in behalf of the old woman, Edy, who was far advanced in age more than any of them. Emeline, Adeline, and others, that Mary was not in existence at the death of Wade Sanderson, that she was a child of Adeline, born seven or eight years after the probate of the wil! l, she being now about eighteen or nineteen, was born perhaps in 1857. The probability is that she was not entitled to the decree, but Adeline, her mother, was. There were seven devisees who were entitled, if Mary was entitled, it would make eight. 1 January 1875 (Chancery Book 1874, Pp. 471-474) This seems to be an interesting anecdote to the previous information.
