    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UiB.2ACI/1272.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi, As I stated, I have just started with this family. I am still trying to find all the marriages, etc, looking for descendants, who can shed some light on the Cooks. This John was still in Wilson in the 1860 census. Not sure where he is in 1870. But I am still looking. Let me ask, do you know for sure, or are you hoping this is your John F. Cook from Wilson Co.? One thing I would do is to order copies of your Otto Paul Cook's World War I records. Order his service papers, and also check with the VA and see if he recieved any medical care before he was wounded. Sometimes the Army has a wealth of information, other times, not, but worth a shot. They may have his parents names and/or who to contact if he should have died. The other thing to check is Ancestry.com, they have all the WWI draft registration cards online. All the boys, and men of a certain age had to fill out a card, whether they were drafted or not, and they had to put next of kin on the records. It may give you an idea as to where the family was living in that time period. I'll let you know if I find anything about the John F. Cook in Wilson. And if I can help, let me know. Sally
