I have the these marriages in Wilson County TN involving my main search for my STUBBLEFIELD family history. Whitley's Marriages of Wilson Co., TN, 1802-1850, p. 220, Entry # 9 for 1848.) shows John Stubblefild & Betthew Bell, m. 17 January 1848, by David Byrd Moore, MG. Entry #10 is Allen H. Grissom m. Malinda Stubblefied, 13 January 1848, also m. by D. B. Moore. [Allen Grissom is brother to Eleanor Grissom & Stephen Grissom & Candice Grissom?] [John Stubblefield & Malinda Stubblefield are brother & sister] Eldridge P Bell to Eleanor Grissom - 30 Jan 1848 - Wilson County, Tennessee [Eldridge P Bell is brother to Bethenia Bell & Andrew Bell] [Eleanor Grissom is siater to Allen H Grissom & Stephen Grissom & Candice Grissom?] Andrew Bell to Parolee Yeates(Yates) - 21 Oct 1852 - Gibson County, Tennessee [Andrew Bell is brother to Bethenia Bell & Eldridge P. Bell] Stephen Grissom to Ann Eliza Grissom - 9 Mar 1841 - Wilson County, Tennessee [Stephen Grissom is brother to Eleanor Grissom & Allen Grissom & Candice Grissom?] Ridious Bridges to Candis Grissom - Can't Remember - Wilson County, Tennessee Willis B Grissom to Margarette Cash - 3 Oct 1854 - Gibson County, Tennessee [Willias B Grissom brother to above?] And we find these families in later census: 1850 census: most had moved to Gibson Co., TN (1860-1870-1880 census: some staying in Gibson Co., TN & some moving to both Hopkins Co., TX & Titus Co., TX) We started with our Stubblefield family in 1819 Jackson Co., AL > then Wilson Co., TN in 1847-48> then Gibson Co. TN> then Hopkins Co., TX & CA. I am interested to know if the Stubblefield family joined up with the Grissom-Bridges-Bell families in 1819-1840 Al or met them in the Wilson Co., TN 1847-48. But you have added another puzzle piece to these Grissom-Bell-Bridges-Stubblefield families by asking about James Bell was born in 1785 and married Sophia Grissom.
