I believe related to Lemuel Cook. I came across the cemetery where Alvira (Elvira) and her husband Dr. Lemuel N. M. Cook are buried. I plan on cleaning up the cemetery, and would like to have a history of the family. The only mention of this cemetery is in one of Jeannette Acklen's books, published in the 1930's, and even then the person reading the graves was only able to read about 5 or 6 stones, and mentioned there were 6 other graves. I found a headstone for someone not mentioned in Tombstone Inscriptions and Bible Records. (Acklen's Book). But the cemetery apparently was in decline even in the 30's. The headstone I found was stacked up with some others. As stated in my other post, I just started the research this week, haven't looked at the Lassiter family, just beginning to sort out the Cook family.
