James is born 1750-60; Thomas is born 1770-80; and Alex is born 1800-10. There is little information on this line of the Roach family. There is a John N. Roach who married Rachel Hopkins and he left a will in 1846 so his family is fairly well known. There were three other brothers to John N. who were in Williamson County, TN, Simon, Stephen and William. Stephen died about 1816 in Williamson County, William went to Davidson County and Simon remained in Williamson County. Both William and Stephen left wills, so their line is fairly well known too. Simon did not leave a will. This group of brothers came into middle TN in the early 1800's, it appears out of North Carolina, possibly Onslow County. I believe the James-Thomas-Alex line is more than likely related to these brothers and perhaps is a missing brother to the several brothers listed above, but not sure. Has anyone researched the James-Thomas-Alex line, which appear that they could be Grandfather, Father and Son, but that is not certain? In 1828, there is an Alexander Roach who marries Elizabeth E. Wright in Wilson County, TN. It is probably this same Alex. Also, in the marriage records for Wilson County, TN, there are some Roach family who marry about the same time as Alex, in the late 1820's and 1830's, and they are not among John N. Roach's children. They could be Alex's siblings. Seeking help with this family. Marie
