    3. Hi Myron; Thanks for the quick reply to my inquiry. I've been able to get a lot more information from the Illinois State Archives than from NARA. That was where I did get his enlistment record, his unit information, and their regimental history. I'm hoping that someone researching families from Wilson County can confirm, and help me with, his parents and the rest of his pedigree. It might be worthwhile trying to determine if his body might have been taken to Wilson County for burial with other members of his family, but since he was killed by ongoing sniper fire from the banks while his unit was traveling down the Mississippi towards Vicksburg, I guess we've just figured that they slid his body over the side, or at best, put ashore to bury him in an unmarked grave. If someone can help me with the location of the graves of Daniel or William SANDERSON in Wilson County, who I mentioned in my original inquiry, I'd like to pursue that idea. As to becoming familiar with LDS, you're absolutely right. I use their software, and with a lot of help from their resources, I have 1,060 people in my GEDCOM. Thanks again, Mike Chambers St. Louis County, Mo. "Myron E. Williams" <myronwms@charter.net> wrote: > Date: Wed, 26 Dec 2007 23:38:15 -0600 > From: "Myron E.
