The census names William, Aaron, John and Nancy. Nancy appears likely to be the mother of these three since they're all grouped together????? To add to this in very early Monroe County there are documents that speak of James Edwards of Wilson County. And there is a James Edwards showing on the 1850 Monroe Census living next door to John. 3. I have been looking at both the Williamson/Coffee County and the Wilson County Edwardses for years now, and I think there is some connection between them, even if it goes back to North Carolina. I have two ancesters named Mary Edwards who lived at the same time, one from each county. I wouldn't discount a connection yet. 3. I'm not related. Just did some lookups for you in some Wilson Co. TN genealogy books I own. Found the following for the names you mention but have no way of knowing if they are the specific individuals you are looking for. 1. From the book, "Index to Wilson Co. TN Wills and Administrations" (don't know if the following are the John and William you are looking for) John Edwards had records in Probate in 1833 William Edwards had records in Probate in 1834 NOTE - there is no Edwards Will listed prior to 1820, i. e. a husband of Nancy 2. From the book, "1830 Census of Middle TN" WILSON CO. TN Page 80 John Edwards Males 01310001 Females 0000001 Page 85 Aaron Edwards Males 01113001 Females 10001001 Page 86 John Edwards Males 1200001 Females 100001 Page 91 John Edwards Males 10111001 Females 1001101 Page 131 William Edwards Males 1000001 Females 03223 3. From the book, "People of Wilson Co. TN, 1800-1899", by Thomas Partlow Chapter titled, "County Court Judgments 1809-1819" William Edwards charged Samuel Alsup with trespass and false imprisonment Recorded 1815 4. The book, "Marriages of Wilson Co. TN, 1802-1861", by Edythe Rucker Whitley, lists dozens of Edwards marriages. However there is only 1 Edward groom prior to 1820 for the names you inquired about. John Edwards married Mary Richmond January 28, 1819 with Bradford Howard as bondsman. After 1820 there is a Nancy Edwards marriage listed Nancy Edwards married Isaac Paynter March 13, 1823 Hope something helps. Kathleen in CA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joyce G. 3. Dear LT, I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that you sent this to me. I'm up here in Illinois and barely ever get any vacation time. When I do get to Lebanon, Tennessee where my ancestor was from I am going to see his church and old homestead. If I find the email of other descendants who stop by his old homestead on their way to vacation in the Tennessee mountains, I will send it to you. Maybe that will help locate it. I found their email on some list but should have printed it out. Then another descendant once said that a very older woman still lives in the house. I find this extraordinary. Apparently when my ancestor lived in the house ( until 1860's )until very old he had ropes had helped pull him up and out of bed. I will keep in touch. We also have Jenkins intermarried in our family. Thank You so much. 1. [TNWILSON] Fw: [EDWARDS-USA] Wm. Edwards
    2. Joyce G. Reece
    3. There is a group of Edwards in WIlson County in 1820. Nancy A. is also in residence in 1850 Monroe but could not be the same Nancy as is in Wilson County as the ages are off Is there anyone on list who know more of these? Joyce Gaston Reece
