    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: RScottPatrick Surnames: Reed, Carruth, Carrouth Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.wilson/2514.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I need any ancestral information about Henry Reed, born 10 Nov 1800, I believe, in Lebanon, Wilson, TN. and his wife Agnes M Carruth, of the same vicinity. Their marriage bonds were on 27 July 1825, in Lebanon, with a Robert Reed listed as Bondsman. They had two children, both born in Tennessee, Mary Jane, and Walter C. Reed. The family migrated first to Arkansas and then to Texas, arriving in 1835. Wilson County history mentions that an early settler, of Barton's Creek, in 1796 was Henry Reed. Could this be the father of my Henry Reed, and the Bondsman Robert Reed? Another early settler to Wilson County, at Spring Creek was listed as Walter Carrouth (Carruth). This could be the family of Agnes M. Carruth. Walter's given name could have been handed down to Agnes's son, Walter C. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
