Geneva Jennings Stewart was the mother of 4 children who, as of the 1900 and 1910 census were all still living. She had dau M. E. (Eva), son J. A., dau Mattie and dau Mollie (see info below to prove this) Re the 1880 Census entry for C. W. Stewart's wife - I think that was just a mistake on the part of the census taker. They are shown with children: Dau M. E. b. 1874, son J. A. b. 1877, and dau Mattie b. Nov 1879 Charles W. Stewart is not on the 1891 Voters List of Wilson Co. TN On the 1900 Census of Wilson Co. TN, Geneva Stewart is the widowed head of household, mother of 4/4. In her household were her daughter Eva and her parents John L. and Martha Jennings. Regarding Geneva's daughter Eva Wilson Co. Marriage records shows: 1. Eva M. Stewart married Alex ARNOLD Aug 1, 1901 2. Evie Arnold married Alonzo V. WEATHERLY in 1907 and is shown on the 1910 census of Wilson Co. with him. On the 1910 census of Wilson Co., Geneva Stewart is listed as the widowed mother-in-law in the household of Mattie and John D. DILL. Geneva was the mother of 4/4 On the 1920 census of Wilson Co. TN, Geneva Stewart was listed as the widowed sister-in-law of B. C. and Ella HALE (Ella Jennings Hale 1851 - 1932, and B. Christopher Hale 1850-1931) On the 1930 census of Davidson Co. TN, Geneva Stewart was listed as the widowed mother-in-law of Mollie and J. E. GRANDSTAFF. Regarding Geneva being buried in a Jennings Cemetery in Wilson Co. I have no information on Henry Reed. However the Agnes M. Carruth is from my wife's side of the family. The information that I am about to give you is from the book "From Whence Ye Came" written by Lela Grant Carruth in 1982. The jest of what she has written concerning the Carruth's is that Walter Carruth being her first generation b. 1703 Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland and d. 1769 Rowen, North Carolina, and his wife Sarah Allison b. 1711 Pensavina and d. 1768 Rowen, North Carolina. Their children were Agnes, Alexander, Ann, John d. 1828, James 1736-1803, and Sarah 1737-1800. James 1736-1803 is the one we will be traceing. James b. 1736 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and d. 1803 in Knox County, Tennessee married in 1765 Margaret Creaghead b. 1738 in Mecklinburg, North Carolina and d. 1781 Beaver Creek, South Carolina. Their children were Alexander Craighead Carruth b 1765 d. 1833, Walter b. 1767 d.1838, James M. b. 1774 d. 1831, william R. b. 1775 d. 1831, and Elizabeth b. aprox. 1800. Now, of the children listed here, all have left wills or court documents transfering land from themselves to their children. All but one that is, and it is William R. b. 1775 and d. 1831. The Agnes M. Carruth you are looking for is not found as being in any court documents. By geathering up all the known Caruths from the time of deaths of James's children, all those left without a parent have been places as belonging to William R. In the 1820 census he had nine children and in the 1830 he had seven. Two had married and were gone by 1830. The book list six of his children Sarah b. 1794, m. Alexander Henry 28 Feb 1825 Samuel C. b. 1800 m. Mary C. Lane 3 Dec 1832 William b. abt 1810 Ann b. abt 1800 Walter b. between 1794-1804 Agnes M m Henry Reed 27 July 1825 The childrens mother was Peggy, no last name, no date of birth or death. Posted with Charlie's permission Gay Pace Researching Kemp genealogy To all my fellow researchers and friends, If you have not discovered this searchable data base before, take a look at this site on the Atlanta Historical Society website. This is a file of the cemetery records for the 5-6 county area surrounding Atlanta, published originally as the "Necrology" by Frank Garrett . I understand this info was compiled in the 1930s. It is very slick; just plug in a last name in the first slot and a " % " sign in the slot for first names and look at what you are getting! Request feedback on what you think of this site and any new discoveries that you've made within your own genealogy searching. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. http://garrett.atlantahistorycenter.com/glist.php Later, Charlie Kemp, Charles.Kemp.CTR@osd.mil Researching Kemp, Bishop, Waits, and Anderson heritage

Go to http://www.wilsoncountytn.com/archives.htm Also, you should request a lookup of Guardian Records for Nancy and Aaron from the Archives. If the father died before they left Wilson Co., a Guardian would have been appointed and the father would have been named in those records. Author: tubbfan Surnames: Waters Classification: census Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.tennessee.counties.wilson/2580/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Looking for a 1910 US Census listing for Fred Garnet Waters (b. 1883 in Wilson, TN). He resided with his wife Johnnie (b. 1885 in Wilson, TN), daughter Margaret (b. 1907 in Wilson, TN) and possibly another daughter Ellen (b. 1910 in Wilson, TN). Surname may be misspelled on records, that's why I can't find it I guess. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
