In researching my great grandfather, Lex Smith, of Wilson County, the community/spot (?) of Indian Ladder has been mentioned by several relatives. Does anyone know where this is or was? Thanks! Can anyone direct me to a researcher or historian of the Liberty, TN area. I'm researching several families in the earliest time of settlement, and their land grants don't seem to be in the County land books but later deeds do refer to these earlier grants. I want to find out where in TN these early land grants might be. Thank you, Ed Researching the CANDLER family.
