Searching for info on the following lineage of persons: Lasiter MATHIS born about 1820-1825 it is said he was born in Obion county TN. He is a full blood Cherokee and he married an unknown woman. They had the following known children: Tracy Tennessee born 10-26-1842 married John G. SHEPHERD 4-26-1859 in Carroll county TN. She died 1-14-1920 in Obion county TN. Elizabeth born about 1843 married John MORRIS we think in Cannon County TN but there are no traces of them. They had 8 children and lived close to the Rutherford/Cannon county line in TN. Frances F. America born 7-9-1845 married William Thomas CRAWFORD 12-29-1860 in Gibson county TN.She died 12-15-1926 in Obion county TN. All of these girls were born in Obion county TN. There is a short write up in the book "History of Obion County TN" stating they were orphans early in life and were raised in different homes. All three of the girls are noted to be 3/4 Cherokee so I am thinking the mother was also of some Cherokee blood. Although there has been info found on the two other girls, nothing can be found of Elizabeth.It is thought that this part of the line settled in and around the Wilson county TN area. I am still searching for info on the line of Anthony Summars born 1790 in Caswell county NC. He married Nancy Pain and this was most likely in Wilson county TN, as his father James migrated there about 1810. Anthony is listed there in the census as in a separate household. I am looking for information about a William Winters who is found on p 106 of the 1830 census of Wilson Co. Is he the same Wm Winters who is found in 1820 in Davidson Co? Is the Martha Winters who is found on pg 255 of the 1840 census of Wilson Co his widow? Where could I look for a marriage certificate on William Winters and Martha? I am looking for information about a William McCullough/McCulla/McCulloch who is found in Wilson Co, TN from 1816 to 1850. According to the 1850 census, he was born abt 1780 in NC. A William McCulla married Tabitha Mullings in Wilson Co on March 22, 1816. Then I found a William McCulloch who married Martha Jackson in Wilson Co on Sept 30, 1835. Is this the same Wm McCullough? A Wm McCullough is found on censuses for Wilson Co from 1830-1850 (in 1820 he is listed as living in Rutherford Co). How can I find out if he left a will or find where he is buried, or if he was on a church roll somewhere in the county? All I have on him is what I have found on the census records. I have reason to believe that this Wm McCullough is the father of my ancestor, Amanda Melvina McCullough (b TN abt 1824) who married Mansfield Ferguson in Wilson Co, TN in 1842. I have only been doing this for a year. I have reached an brick wall with our James C. McIntyre. He lived most of his life in the 10th District in Wilson co. I "think" his father was William McIntyre of the same 10th Dist. In app. 1843 William married Nancy Patterson Hearn. She was not his Mother since James was born in 1820, in Wilson Co. Yet the oldest daughter of our James (James C. McIntyre's son) was named Doras Rowena McIntyre. We have found a grave in Lebanon for a Doras Rowena Hearn. There must be a connection but I sure can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. I am to the point where I think I will take up golf again, it is less frustrating! Thanks, Mark

Please help: Does anyone know who is buried in the cemetery located just off the River near Belotes bend in Wilson County and north of Belotes Ferry Rd. It looks like there are several large Cedars there and a primitive road nearby. Also, there is another cemetery Just off Belotes ferry Rd to the south of the unpaved rd.
