Tn Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Tn/Wilson/10822 Surname: Johnson ------------------------- Is this a match for you, Christopher Wilson Lain, son of John Lewis and Mary Watts Mullins, born c. 1810, probably in Va. married Lavinia Johnson in Wilson County Tn. 18 Nov. 1835. Christopher died after 1880 in Wilson County but the date and gravesite I do not know. Lavinia was the daughter of James Henry Johnson, who died 9 june 1854 and his first wife, her name is unknown to me.James Henry married second a Susannah. James H. was the son of Henry Johnson who immigrated to America from Sweden. Henry was born in Sweden in 1750. Henry first settled in Delaware, which was then called New Sweden. Does this agree at all with facts, I think it does but it was a few years ago? Frank Laine in Lebanon Tn. franklaine@hotmail.com

Your DANIEL JACKSON (1794-1861) and SARAH(Jackson) JACKSON , married 1817, could well be the parents of my MARY (JACKSON) MELVIN (1824-aft 1900). She and her husband married in 1844 in Wilson County, moving from therc c 1864 to Golconda, Illinois and shortly thereafter to Livingson County, Kentucky. Do you know the proximity of the Cisney area of Muhlenberg County , Kentucky, to Smithland, Livingston County, Kentucky? Names of the children of Mary (Jackson) and Peter Melvin- Martha Elizabeth, Ann Elizabeth, Jane, Tabitha, Nancy Jane, SARAH, Margaret, Andrew John and Ruth (my ggrandmother). He was a Baptist preacher in Illinois and in Kentucky. Do you know the names of children of James and Sarah? I would be interested in any other information on your Jackson family, especially before they moved to Kentucky. Do you know where they lived prior to Wilson County? Do you know names of parents/siblings?, etc. I wish we could prove a connection here. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!! Darlene

She had my grandfather Sam Yeakle in 1879 either in Alleghany Co. or Washington Co MD. There is no mention of a husband. Someone told me they recall hearing about a Rebecca coming in the area mentioned above and having a child out of wedlock. The surnames above are all connected with the Rebecca I found on google.com I have no idea if I'm on the right track but this is the most info I have found on a Rebecca Risen. I only hope she is the one. >From the info on the computer I have Rebecca's parents as James b.1819 in Wilson Co. Tenn, and Mary Ann Sypert b. 1823 also in Wilson Co. If you know anything about these people maybe you can help me figure out if I'm even close to finding info on my great grandmother. I also know little about my grandfather Sam, and hope that someday all of this will fall together. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Evelyn Yeakle Dixon Washington CO. MD.

I'm looking for the Jackson & Spears families of Wilson Co., TN. My Burrell Amzi Spears (ca 1822 TN-1865 Muhlenberg Co., KY)was the son of Mrs. Sarah Spears who appears in Wilson Co., TN in the late 1820's. I haven't yet determined who was her husband, but Burrell moved to Muhlenberg Co., KY with his older brother Lewis Spears (who married Amanda Donnell in 1829 in Wilson Co., TN). After arriving in Muhlenberg with a group from Wilson Co., he married Ann Eliza, the daughter of Daniel Jackson (who came from Wilson Co., TN), on 16 November 1848. Daniel Jackson was the son-in-law of Robert Jackson, an early resident of Wilson Co., TN, who was from Dinwiddie Co., VA. I would like to know anything about Robert Jackson's descendants, and also who was the father of my Burrell A. Spears. Thank you, Nathan W. Murphy
