    1. [TNWILSON] KELLY/KELLEY
    2. I am (still) looking for DANIEL KELLY/KELLEY whose wife was named ELIZABETH, and who had a son named NOAH (my Grandfather). Census records show that Daniel was born in Virginia in cir. 1790, Elizabeth was born in Georgia in cir. 1798, and Noah was born in Wilson County, Tennessee in cir. 1834. One FHC records shows Noah born in Williamson County, Tennessee but I find more to back up my belief that it was Wilson County. If anyone is check the Kelly/Kelley name I would love to hear from you. My Kelly family moved from Tennessee to Morgan County, Missouri, probably in the 1850s. Thanks much! Edna in Kansas

    1. [TNWILSON] New list admin, message board now gatewayed to the list, please read
    2. Good evening, all! I wanted to let you all know that Greg has 'retired' from his list admin duties and I'm the new admin for the TNWILSON list. I also admin the Rootsweb WILSON COUNTY, TN message board. If anyone has a list-related problem (or board-related problem, for that matter) please just let me know and I'll help all I can. I also wanted to let you all know that the Rootsweb WILSON COUNTY, TN message board is now gatewayed to the list. For those of you who are new to the lists or don't know what that means, here's an explanation. Messages posted to the WILSON COUNTY, TN board are automatically forwarded to the TNWILSON list and distributed to list members. You will be able to tell if a message has been gatewayed from the board because the top of the body (message text area) of the email will show something similar to this: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. It will also have a URL to the actual board message and the text of the board message. Please remember that if a message you receive via this list has been gatewayed from the WILSON COUNTY, TN message board, it would be very helpful if you post your reply to it on the message board. Not all people who post on the board are subscribed to this list and if you respond to a board message via the list, it's very possible that the person who posted the original message on the board will NOT see your reply. I know there will be times when replies that need to be posted on the board will be sent via the list instead but if we all try to remember to reply to gatewayed messages on the board, we will be helping others and ourselves in our research. :-) The URL for the WILSON COUNTY, TN message board is: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.stat es.tennessee.counties.wilson If anyone has questions about the gateway or doesn't understand it or has another list-related issue, please don't hesitate to email me. Happy hunting! Denise's Random Thoughts: Families are like fudge .. mostly sweet with a few nuts.

    1. RE: [TNWILSON] UPDATE
    2. Just a note to say to the list that while I can understand the author of the book's thoughts....I personally am MUCH more prone to order a book if I am SURE it has the info on my family in it, than order it if I am unsure..... I go to the library or another source to double check, and then purchase a book if it has the needed family information. Don't know if anyone else feels this way, but my bet is that most of us do business this way. Thanks, Karen Rinnert Parsons Always on the lookout for families of Joel C. BRIDGES, and Lucy ESKEW, and all related families. -----Original Message----- From: gkc536@bellsouth.net [mailto:gkc536@bellsouth.net] Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 7:52 PM To: TNWILSON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TNWILSON] UPDATE I have just received an email from Mr. Charles Sherrill that he does not want me to offer any more lookups from his new book, TN Convicts 1850-1870 because it is inconsiderate since he is still selling these. 2. Some time ago, I got an address for a website of TN obituaries that could be searched by name and if that last name appeared even as a survivor, it was underlined (or printed) in red. I had it in my Favorites, but somehow it has been lost. Could someone out there help me find it again? Thanks, Wilarlie Knight Barto
