    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UiB.2ACI/807.1 Message Board Post: Have you checked out TN State Library and Archives in Nashville? I just finished extensive research on a 1916 murder trial that took place in Cannon County. Don't forget that TN was pretty lawless - esp outside of town. Even into the 1920's the sherrif preferred to stay within the city or town limits. Have you checked the local court house? Any newspapers published or a school newspaper (if it was near a college the college may have an archive)? Other than posting it as you have done I can make no more suggestions as to finding information. My father has several old old books published in TN around the turn of the century that give history of different counties - recount some murders. I do not have access to the books (I'm in MI the books are in Florida) but you might try the historical society and see if they have any old publications. Good luck.

    1. [TNWILSON] Elizabeth Gatton Will
    2. Bratsveen Leroyce E GS-05 67SOS/CCS
    3. Good Day, Can someone provide me with a will abstract for Elizabeth Gatton? Also looking to see if she died in Wilson County. This is a bit confusing so I will do my best to explain. Apparently her will is located in settlement book #3 (I don't have a date --sorry) but do know that she died in 1872 (she would have been 86). All my research indicates that she died in Lawrence Co, MO, but her will was in Wilson Co TN. So I am trying to pinpoint where she died. Her two sons from MO contested her estate and were paid for supposedly taking care of her, but I have yet to locate her ever living with them. Thank you for your time.

    3. HI. Great website! Alot of data. But when I tried to download the GEDCOM file for William Hearne it would not do it. It only loaded to the screen the file in all it's coded text. I am descended from George and Tabitha Skeen Hearn, through their daughter Sarah b. 1796 NC. Sarah married Hugh Campbell in Wilson Co, TN 1816. My 'brick wall' is Hugh's father James from Kentucky originally from Scotland. Thanks again.
