I have Joseph Jenkins, born 1800, married first Mary Vantrease, married 2nd, 11 Oct. 1849, Elizabeth O'Neal, the widow of James M. Bell. They lived near Commerce. Elizabeth O'Neal Bell Jenkins was the daughter of Dorcas Midget and John O'Neal. Is this Joseph the son of William, born 1772? I don't think he's the same Samuel Scott who had land further east, in south/central Wilson Co. He bought the land in 1806 (registered in Davidson Co.), but I can't find any records regarding the Wilson Co. portion of the land. He sold the rest of the property he owned in Davidson Co. in the late 1820s and moved to Shelby County TN.

My great-great grandfather was John Samuel Dunn who married Catherine Hass and they were both born in Lebanon. I know that they had a son same Samuel and a son William and also a dauther (don't have that name with me). My great grandfather was William D. Dunn who came to Texas about 1880. I believe Samuel Dunn stayed in Tenn (possible Lebanon). The Stone family was I believe from the northern parts of Tennessee up around the Tennessee/Kentucky line. I'm not sure where the Rice family came from but I believe they were Cherokee Indian. Any information would be helpful. If you have any information please contact me.
