A wardrobe steamer trunk is a trunk with drawers on one side and on the other side a place to hang clothes. They can sometimes be spotted in older movies. I am not related to this person. I found it antique shopping and thought it would be nice to have some background of the person who's name is on the trunk if anyone knew and how it might of ended up in Florida. The name is painted on it with using stincil and about worn away. Researching the trunk it was found to be made around the turn of the century to about 1920's. ==== TNWILSON Mailing List ==== You can find the directions to unsubscribe from the TNWILSON list at: http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/TN/wilson.html<http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/TN/wilson.html>

    1. Decendants of Isaac Chatham
    2. E. D. CHATHAM
    3. I am attempting once again to learn if there are any descendants of my Great Grandfather, Isaac Chatham in Wilson County. He was listed in the 1850 Wilson County Census thus: Chatham, Isaac 40, Susan 17, Benjamin 18, Mary 17, William 16, Nancy 9, James 7. William was my grandfather. Isaac came, we think, from Caswell County, NC. The above listed Susan is a second wife. Isaac was married to a full bloodedCherokee Indian, for which family legend has it that his father disinherited him. We do not know when he moved to Wilson County, or what happened to the Cherokee wife, who presumably is the mother of all the children. wilson county Marriages lists him as being married in 1849 to a Susan Johnson. daughter of Pleasant Johnson, a neighbor to Isaac, and who was also a neighbor in Caswell County. Most likely the first wife died. Isaac later moved to Nashville and was listed in a later Nashville census as living in the same residence as my grandfather, William. We do not know when Isaac died, or where he is buried. I have been in contact with a Ray Chatham in Virginia, who says he is the great grandson of Benjamin, but have not been ale to obtain any information from him. I have a cousin in Ohio who has followed through on the Indian business, and has become the chief of an Indian group, and a member of their senate. If there is a descendent f Isaac, or any of his children living in Wilson County, of if anyone who reads this knows of a Chatham in Wilson County who is a descendant of Isaac, I would like very much to get in touch with them, or would appreciate any information anyone might have concerning a Chatham. If you have any information that may be of help to me, please contact me at this email address. DOYLE CHATHAM
