Jack: I have found a number of John Scott's in the 1820 TN census. One in WIlliamson County and the other in Wayne County. According to the census, John Scott of Williamson County is listed as follows: 300010-20200 which translates as 3 males under the age of 10 yrs, one male between 26 and 45, 2 females under 10 years of age and 2 females between 16 and 26 years of age. The John Scott of Wayne County, TN is listed as follows: 100100-10100, which translates as one male under 10 years of age, one male betwen 16 and 26, one female under 10 years of age and one female between 16 and 26. The birthdate range for the John Scott of Wayne County is between 1794 and 1804. The birthdate range for the John Scott of Williamson County is between 1775 and 1794. Hope this helps.
