Searching for any trace of the family of William P (Uncle Billy ) HAMPTON born Aug 8 1789 in North Carolina. William married Malinda (maiden name unknown ) born in Virginia about 1792. William and Malinda had seven children but I only have data on two of them, John H HAMPTON born 1818 in Tennessee and James P HAMPTON born 1827 in Tennessee. There are two William Hampton's listed on the 1830 census for Williamson County and I would like to find out if anyone knows if either one is my William HAMPTON. William had one other son William Irwin, and four daughters, Mary, Mathilda, Lemura, and Elizabeth. I do not have any birth dates for these children. I would like to find out where in Tennessee William and his family lived and where his sons were born. I know that in 1833 William and his family moved to what is now Dade County Missouri and were some of the first settlers in the area. Will share all information I have on the Hamptons.
