I am researching the Pearce family who lived in Williamson and Rutherford Counties early 1800's before moving to Johnson County Illinois. The father, McKinney Pearce was a school teacher and was from NC. He lived and died in Williamson County. His son, Arthur Davis Pearce was in the War of 1812 and moved on to Illinois after the War. Any help would be greatly appreciated concerning this family. Also I know there was a book written about them by Nell Pearce Elkins, but have not been able to locate such a book.
