Hi! I have just joined the group to find out more about my family in TN. I am researching Michael Best (3 Aug 1777, Tyrrell County, NC), his wife Anna Spence (1777, also of Tyrrell County, NC) and their children: Joseph, Ephraim, James, William, Elizabeth, Phetnea, Kisiah, Frances, John, Mary Ann, and Wesley. In a migration from NC to Macoupin County, IL, they moved into Williamson County and lived there from abt. 1814-1822. (I found Michael and family listed in the Williamson County 1820 Census, but have no idea just where in the county they lived.) While John and Mary Ann were born there, some of the older children born in NC are believed to have married and stayed in Williamson County when the rest of the family moved farther north. Does anyone have these names in their family history? I would appreciate any information.
