Hi, Just in reference to the Short family... In my Housden research, I came upon a Samuel Short in Rockingham County, Virginia that married a Elizabeth Housden. We have no idea who this Elizabeth is. I just found out third hand that a Short researcher in VA had hit a brick wall with him, he seemed to have disappeared into thin air. I wondered why Benjamin Housden migrated to Williamson County. Lucky for the Short researcher... I found him in the 1820 Williamson CO census! He lived only two farms down from my Benjamin. Thought I'd pass on this information, since it may (?) relate to your Shortts. Sorry if this is irrevelent to your line, but I have found that I have climbed alot of brick walls with just tidbits of information, and I would rather have irrevelent information than none at all.
