    3. Vance, This would be that part of Williamson that became Maury. I guess?? This is the information I have on the Dungan's. Article written by Rev. William A. Dungan, Grandson of William Dungan. William Dungan was born in Illinois and was left an orphan in his infancy and was adopted by a Mr. Mitchell. He was brought to TN in his youth and here resided until his death in 1850. (He moved to Madison Co. TN. is listed on the 1830 census) William Dungan b. 1777 PA m. Mary "Polly" Mason Children: 1. Nathan Dungan ca 1805 m. Lillys Hamilton Williamson Co. (ggg grandparents) 2. Parthenia Dungan ca 1806 married Randolph McKinney 3. Sarah Dungan ca 1807 married Thomas Milegan Williamson Co. 4. Rebecca Dungan ca 1808 married Sparkman Skelly Oct. 15, 1828 Williamson Co 5. Allen Dungan ca 1811 married James Holmes 6. Thomas M. Dungan b. Mar 20, 1813 married Nancy Mason 7. Mary "Polly" Dungan ca 1817 married Livingston Sewell. According to an article I found (don't know how accurate it is) Sparkman Skelley married Rebecca Dungan. Sparkman was a son of James and Dillie Skelley, early settlers in Maury County. Sparkman's son, W. D. married M. M., the daughter of Jacob Gray Robinson and Mary E. Bobbitt. Their son, J. W. Skelley, married R. T., daughter of Robert and Margaret Fox Gaskill. Sparkman Skelley served as constable of the eighteenth district, and later was a magistrate and tax collector. Hardie Skelley was a son of William and Mary A. Beasley Skelley. William was a brother of Sparkman Skelley. Hardie married Alice Dodson, daughter of J. C. and Margaret Carrigan. Also would be interested if you know if there is a relationship between Alice Dodson and Beverly Dodson? Beverly Dodson married the sister of my ggg grandmother Lillys Hamilton. Elizabeth Hamilton m 1818 Beverly Dodson. Thanks so much. Will share any info. Pat
