Hello, I am looking for anything on the DOWDY family, who lived in Williamson County. John Dowdy b. abt 1780 in N.C. and his wife Raney (madin name unknown). In the book Flat Creek it states that their was a Charles Dowdy who may have been an older relative of John Dowdy. It says that he was buriedin the Ezell-Brown cemetery, is there any dates on the stone ? Does anyone know anything about the early Dowdy families who camr from N.C. to Williamson Co. Tn. ??
