Linda: At Last!!! I have finally found someone researching MY family. I returned from a trip to WIlliamson County a couple of months ago and found a WHOLE BUNCH of info on the family you are looking for. John W. Scott married Polly Whitby in January 1848 in WIlliamson County. They are my Great-Great Grandparents. Their son, Thomas Warren Scott is my Great Grandfather. Polly (Pauline J. Whitby) 's parents are Lewis Whitby and Agatha Whitby (maiden name unknown). Lewis married a Lucy Westbrook in WIlliamson County around 1850. Both the Scott and Whitby families moved to Yell County, Arkansas in the late 1860s (1867). I have a whole lot of other information on this family.
