My gr-gr-gr-grandfather was NATHANIEL GUTHRIE. He moved to Williamson Co., about 1818 from Halifax Co., Va. He had a son WILLIAM CARROLL GUTHRIE, born in Tennessee about 1819. He had an older son JOHN B. GUTHRIE born in 1801 in VA. The family was only in Tennessee for a short time; however, as Nathaniel shows up in Lauderdale Co., Alabama in 1820. Nathaniel married in 1798 in VA, FANNY LINK whose father was JOHN LINK. Nathaniel probably had a brother named CHARLES GUTHRIE who moved to Missouri about the same time Nathaniel moved to Tennessee.
