Deed Book E, page 47 - Joshua Curtis from Benjamin Curtis. -----1815. Benj. Curtis has this day given to Joshua Curtis 100 acres of land. It being a part of the tract whereon said Benj. Now lives which was conveyed to him by Charles Polk and bounded by the bank of Enon Creek. Wit.: Roderick Temple and Moses Curtis. Reg.: 4 March 1817. Deed Book E, page 255 - Benajamin Curtis from Samuel Lee of Litchfield Co Conn. 27 Aug 1817. For $500 tract of land containing 250 acres. It being part of a 5000 acre grant to James Polk and bounded by Benj. Curtis and Enon Creek on the old military line. Wit.: Frederick Walcot and John G. Mitchell. Reg: 9 March 1818. Deed Book C, page 109 - Michael Kinnard from John Donelson of Davidson Co TN 19 Nov 1811. For $1525 tract of land on the waters of the Big Harpeth, on the east side which said tract of land was granted to Robert Smith by N.C. Grant No. 1791 dated 20 May 1793, and which includes the plantation known by the name of Curtis place; bounded by Lawrence Stephens, Wm. Marshall, John McMurray, and Edw. Chitwood's land out of the above mentioned tract; containing 590 acres. Wit: Owen T. Watkins and Charles Harrell.
