Marriages: Thomas PWells married Susan S Smith dec 26,1833 Wmson Co 1840 Thomas WElls would be 50-60 1850 their children were Henderson 18, Melico A f 16 Lawrence 13, Martha 8. 1870 Susan WElls, 66 b VA living with Clay, Monroe J 51 VA, Caroline 41VA Haffner, George V 26 ITN Hill, James 5 Tn Amanda 4 Write to the Archives and try and find Hartwell's will. Get a copy of his marriage license and see who else signed it. Sometimes someoneelse helped on the oney for the license. Also asked them to check for another marriage of Hartwell earlier. Their are marriages that did not make it to the book I have. Also ask for a will for Thmas Wells after 1840. OR Hartwell could be Thomas Harwell R Wells.
