I was checking on family connections of the Lawson's in Henry and Patrick Counties with our KNOWN family surnames. My Hudson Johnson came to what was Williamson Co. Tn abt 1799-1803 then moved ont Barton s Creek in Stewart Co. which became Dickson in days. Hudson Johnston and wife Agness left What was Hawkins Co. Tn where they had been since 1783. Cousin Janet G. has a Moses Johnson of Hawkins Co. Tn married to a Sarah ( ? Powell_ who has a Grandson named Hudson Johnson. Janet is also a Hatcher-Burton connected Cousin. Her lines are also connected into the Lawson Families of Hawkins Co. Tn A Jonas Lawson is from Henry Co. Va where Hudson Johnson left from before 1782. He was there in 1778-1780 on the Tithable Lists. There are Several Lawson families in Henry County during this time period. What is interesting is the Lawson Family above is also in 1720 era of Little Byrd Creek live beside a Murrell Family ( unknown which on of Rev. Thomas Murrell's Family) Rev. Thomas Murrell lead a group of Primitive Baptist families into what was Carter's Valley in Washington Co. NC ( now Hawkins Co. TN) Moses Johnson and wife Agness where in his Church along with Agness Johnson, Bartlett Sims and wife. in 1785. Unknown Who else was members of Bent Creek Baptist Church. Va who married one Thomas Payne Sr. son of Ralph Payne they married Oct 24 1682 Christ Church Middlesex Co. Va. Thomas Payne's Relative ( ?) Robert Payne married one Elizabeth Lawson b abt 1652 in Lancaster Co. Va. died in Old Rappahannock Co. Va now Essex Co. Va. She is the Daughter of Epaphrodius Lawson and Elizabeth Madestard. Now what is of interest is she also married William Devereaux Gilliam b abt 1631, who was her first Husband. Note: Mary Maria Doodes is the daughter of Maindert or Mairedort Minor and Mary Gureat Johnson b. abt 1618 in Holland died by Jan 6 1678 in Middlesex Co.
