    1. Reuben & Tabitha (Martin) Wells
    2. I need help with this brick wall. Reuben Wells (ca. 1772-8/26/1852) and Tabitha (Martin) Wells (ca. 1778-1/3/1845) both migrated from Henry Co, VA, to Williamson Co, TN, by the 1840 census. Reuben apparently attended Flat Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Williamson Co. Here are my questions: Can anyone tell me where this couple is buried? Both supposedly died in Williamson Co and were buried there in the Wells Cemetery. One person on the list said he didn't find them in the Wells Cemetery. Can anyone tell me if there is a will or probate record for either of them? The staff at the TN State Library and Archives looked in an index that they have and could not find Reuben. Does anyone know of any documentation for their children? Different researchers assign certain children either to Reuben & Tabitha or to Thomas/Hartwell Wells. Some researchers also say Thomas/Hartwell (b 1778 or 1788) was Reuben's son--that's unlikely as Reuben would have only been 6 or 16 when Thomas/Hartwell was born and Reuben didn't marry until 1797. Another problem is that census records don't support enough sons in either man's household between 1810-1820. Most of the Wells clan moved further west to Calloway Co, KY. I have names, dates, and places; but I can't document parentage. (Reuben Martin Wells, a generation younger than Reuben, is my direct ancestor; I have been able to document his children.) Thanks for any help you can provide. Sylvia Nash
