Unless something has changed in the last year, there is no charge for researching. You can do your own coping from microfilm readers/printers for 25 cent a page and photocopy from hard copy for 10 or 15 cent (don't remember which). They will copy for you from original manuscript for, I believe that was 25 cent. They are very helpful.
