Thank you for the information. My primary research focus is the Sammons family (Newit Sammons, et al). One of his sons. Edmund Sammons, married one Ann Mariah Hays (AKA Anmariah) in Williamson Co. in 1826/7. I have no further information on the Hays family beyond that. The Hodge connection also arose from the marriage of one of Newit's children, Margaret Sammons, married one Phillip Hodge on 29 April 1819 in Williamson Co.
