Does anyone on the Williamson County Mailing List know where Owens Station in Williamson County, Tennessee is? What part of the county is it close to today? Where can I go to get a good map of 1830 to 1850 Williamson County? I've been to the USGS site but the coordinates are unknown for Owens Station. Thanks, Colleen Taylor
Hi Collene, You will probably have to go to the Williamson County Archives, 510 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN. They should have what you're searching for. Unfortunately, I have been here 22 years now and I've never heard of an Owens Station, but there is a place called Thompsons Station. It may have been called Owens Station before it was named Thompson station. I hope the address will help you and I will try to ask friends and family here in town about you inquiry. I will email you back if I find out anything. You should also consider the Williamson County Library, they have archives there that can only be accessed in person, I will have to go there myself very soon as I'm searching to find family Tree history myself.
