John Brent and Margaret , his wife by their deed of July 11,1763, sold to David Caldwell of L, about 500 acres of land in L. Margaret cannot conveniently travel to our county court to make acknowledgment of the deed. You are therefore authorized to go to Margaret to receive her acknowledgment. Signed July 12,in the 3rd year of our reign- William Taylor.. Lunenburg Sc. We examined Margaret and she relinquished her right of dower to the conveyed lands.
