The Bedford County Historical Society is sponsoring a family history book to be published by Turner Publishing Co of Paducah, KY. Anyone who has ever lived in Bedford Co, or their descendants, is entitled to submit a family biography (500 words, or for pioneer families 1000 words) and one photograph, free of charge. Deadline is January 20, 2001. In 1886 Goodspeed did a project similar to this. Please send all the information you can supply NOW. If it is another 114 years before the next history of Bedford Co, some of us will not be here to participate. Biographies should be typed, double-spaced, written in the third person (he, she, they) however handwritten biographies will be accepted. If you want your photograph back, write your name and address in pencil on the back and make note to return it. Write the names of the people, the date, and the caption on the back also.
