Hi...I saw your offer to help and wonder if you canhelp me with a stubborn ancestor....My Gr-grandfather was Charles Jones, b.1854..His parents were Lewis and Matilda Lock Jones...I have them in the 1850-60-7- census..I cannot find anyone who had the 1880 census to see if Charles Jones was still living at home at that time... Charles married sometime between 1874-84..On the 1900 census his wife'sname is Sussie..His oldest child is listed as Sussie, age 25..The next oldest child is age 15...I cannot find a marriage record for Charles and Sussie anywhere in Tennessee..Family lore says that Sussie's maiden name was Holt, but I find no one that fits that profile...I am beginning to think that maybe Sussie 3was a widow with a child, Sussie, when she married Charles... I know that Charles moved to Davidson county befor 1900....Do you think you ight have information to help me find Sussie's maiden name??? A marriage date for them???
