I'm going to be visiting Franklin Tennessee this summer where my grand mother, great grand father and great great grandfather were born, some died there. I would like to see where their homes were, or maybe even are still standing. How do I go about finding such addresses? My husband is a land surveyor, I was thinking maybe we could go to the court house and look up old deeds.....perhaps? Or is there a place on line so I could find this out so I don't have to spend so much time in a court house or library. I don't have any of that info in the small amount of family papers I have.
