    3. Two possible errors have been pointed out in one 1848 entry from the Western Weekly Review. One is that the death years is listed as 1846, which may be an OCR error. The other error may involve a misreading, misrecording, or typo. These are common types of errors and the WWR files will contain many. That is why you you will always need to print your own copies of the original death notices from the Western Weekly Review microfilm. The only original work I do is cemetery markers, and what applies to them applies to county records, newspapers, and any other document. The recorder/abstractor can read it wrong, write it down wrong, be unable to read his own handwriting when he goes to type it, and can make typos. On top of this, if the typed document is scanned, then there is a chance for OCR errors. Finally, you can record, type, and process everything correctly without error but (especially with cemetery markers) the information can be wrong to start with. Any researcher should CHECK EVERYTHING. These abstracts are an index to the WWR, not a substitute for it. I should have 1851 online by Saturday night. David
