Ed, I checked out your web site and noted that you are also following the Vowell family. I have several Vowells in my DB, but somewhat earlier than yours. Do you know anything about a John Vowell (b 1790/1800 ) who was married to a Martha G. (b. abt 1802)? I have their children as : Georgian, Mary Jane, William and Jones Robert(?) all born between 1827-1842. The best I can determine is that they owned land near the junction of Sunset, Waller and Ragdale Rd's. and part of the land now known as The Governor's Club on Concord Rd. John Winstead bought property that once was owned by my ggg grand dad, Thomas Adams (land I believed now being developed as The Estates of Brookfield on Concord Pass) and Samuel bought joining land that was once owned by George W.
