My husband is a descendant of Samuel Stewart BURDETT SR, b. 1823 in Bedford Co., TN, through his son, Samuel Stewart BURDETT JR [1852-1881]. SR was the son of William JR and Sarah Jane LOWE. I thought that interesting to see the "Stewart" middle name with the Burdett's. I found out a few days ago that my Samuel M. Burdett was married to a Sarah Stewart in TN, but it wouldn't have been until after the Civil War. I'll keep that name though to see what pops up. Thanks.
