    3. William, I'm taking a chance you might be able to help me with some Cartwright history. My gggrandfather, Samuel Orten (1785-1824) was from Rowan County, NC. He married Rebecca Campbell in 1804/5 in Rowan County. They eventually moved to 'around' Nashville and there we lose them. I've seen a date they moved as being 1811 or so. We can prove his first wife Rebecca lived until at least 1817. We've learned through family history Samuel Orton/Orten's second wife was Sarah Cartwright. We've found no marriage information for Samuel and Sarah so I really have very little to go by. I have no idea when or where they married. Samuel had 4 or 5 children and one more that we know of with second wife Sarah Cartwright. Samuel died around 1824 and Sarah and all the children came to Missouri. There we lose Sarah again. I have so little to work with I may not know what I'm seeing if it hit me in the face. If you have any information to share or suggestions I'd love to hear from you. Naturally I'll share whatever I have.
