    1. Re: [TNWILLIA] WHITE
    2. Someone may have already answered this but I could not find a marriage license for my great grandfather (Ezekial Wall) and his wife Fannie Wall. I thought it might carry more information on Fannie's real name. When I visited Williamson Co Library, Doris Douglass took maybe 5 minutes and sure enough she found the record of their marriage (in Marshall Co TN!). It gave the information I was looking for, Fannie's name being Mary Frances Walls. I then began poking around online with Marshall Co TN because up until then I had no reason to think that Ezekial Wall would be in Marshall Co or Fannie. Turns out that Ezekial's father Alexander Anderson Wall had land there, etc... So the short answer, yes their marriage records is wonderful and the researcher was wonderful to somehow use other records to determine that the marriage could be in Marshall Co TN. I also have not found a marriage license for my grandfather and grandmother and I learned from Doris Douglass about the records that were burned (lost) from Williamson Co and more than likely their marriage records were lost based on the probable range of years that they married and their names, etc...At least now I am not caught up or looking so much for their marriage license now that I know the record is probably lost.....
