Hi, Lorien, Unfortunately, I can't help with the churches, but I'm related to the Barnes in Williamson County, TN. According to family records the earliest Barnes I have is Joseph B. Barnes (born 1801, parents unknown) married to Katherine P. Kelly (born 1807, daughter of William Kelly & Nancy S. Penn). Joseph B. Barnes & Katherine P. Kelly married in 1824 and it is said they moved from Virginia to Williamson County, TN. They had eight children of which their names are: Martha Ann (b. 1826); John Henry (b. 1830); Mary Jane (b. 1832); Nancy Katherine (b. 1835); Lucy Ann (b. 1838); Mary Frances "Sally" (b. 1841); James William (b. 1843); and David Alexander (b. 1846).
